Welcome to my book blog! My name is Jean and I’m a voracious reader, critical reviewer, and author of historical romance. I fell in love with the world of Regency London when my mother introduced me to work of Georgette Heyer at the age of 12. I enjoy writing strong, flawed characters with an abundance of common sense. No unnecessary drama or miscommunication, thank you very much.
I seem to have missed some sort of memo as a romance author and blogger because I don’t own any cats and I’m more of a coffee drinker than a tea drinker. But I do have a couple of hellions…I mean kids…who keep me endlessly entertained and constantly on my toes. Fun times!
As a reader I often go through 2-3 books per week and I’m completely digital. In other words, I only read ebooks and audiobooks (yes audiobooks count as books)…goodreads will attest to that! I’m always looking for my next new favourite author and a book boyfriend to fall in love with.
When not caught up in something book-related I can be found spending quality time in my Toronto home with my family. I hope you enjoy the reviews and occasional pearls of bookish wisdom that make their way onto my posts. Most importantly however Happy Reading!
